Hi everyone. am new to the site and have a query. i have a strat which has been stripped and oiled (type unknown) by its previous owner(most of which appears to have either rubbed off or soaked into wood) how can i ensure that i get it all out before attempting a refinish and what would you recommend as products. it was originally olympic white and i would like to restore it faithfully. any help would be appreciated

It needs to be washed thoroughly with acetone before you attempt to spray anything.
