It looks like this is going to be a very expensive guitar!

I spent a happy hour this afternoon trying out the jigsaw with its new 65mm blade. I think I could use the jigsaw to cut out the body - provided I don't mind burning it out

I got virtually nowhere with it!! I drew around my strat as a template on a 30mm oak board off cut. It was painfully slow - after 15 minutes I had got about three inches cut. So I had a go on some softer wood - not much better

So it looks like I will bite the bullet and invest in a band saw. I do some woodturning so it will come in useful - the problem will be hiding it from SWMBO!

I'm also coming round to getting a 1/2" router. Or I could forget the whole thing and buy a vintage pre-cbs Fender for less
