East Indian Rosewood (DalbergiaLatifolia). Due to the decline in availability of Brazilian Rosewood, East IndianRosewood has become the choice of many high class guitar builders.  The colour is purple/ brown which darkens toa rich brown colour with exposure to air and can contain streaks of red tolight golden brown.  It needs a littlecare when planning but freshly sharpened tools will minimize grain tear-out.  Rosewood bends well for acoustic andclassical guitar sides.
