Due to the decline inavailability of Brazilian Rosewood, East Indian Rosewood has become the choiceof many high class guitar builders.  Thecolour is purple/ brown which darkens to a rich brown colour with exposure toair and can contain streaks of red to light golden brown.  It needs a little care when planning butfreshly sharpened tools will minimize grain tear-out.  Rosewood bends well for acoustic andclassical guitar sides
